en He's a gym rat. Most college coaches know him from when he used to make the rounds in the shoe business. He's got involvement in basketball at every level. He's got the pulse on a lot of things, knows a lot of people.

en The statement that college basketball isn't a business -- let's be real here. It can be a business that can be a very positive experience for athletes, coaches, for schools. Kids learn responsibility, coaches learn how to put together a team, and administrators learn how to build some momentum, build a lot of school spirit based on that one entity -- the program. It doesn't have to be a dirty word, something sleazy to say it is a business.

en I think it would help. He's got stature, first of all. I think stature helps in that league. That's one thing he has that not a lot college coaches have, that level of stature. I think he would do good if he was in the NBA. There's a respect level that players have for him that they may not have for a lot of other college coaches.

en The city's involvement is only that we're holding the check, ... We're in the business of finding contractors so that's what we're doing - Texas College will make the selection.

en We had a teacher in college tell us, if you're gonna open a shoe store, open a shoe store next to another shoe store. Because it brings in more people because of the competition. So we're gonna be right there with Coyote Ugly, Lucky Strike, there's a lot of different diversity up there. I can go bowling on the breaks.

en Coaching college basketball is a high-pressure endeavor, and I think maybe people say things based on emotion. I don't think guys should ever say that. It's questioning the integrity of the game of college basketball, and it's questioning the integrity of the officials.

en It's good, because now everyone knows it's possible. As coaches, you can always motivate that way. Of course, it also puts a lot of pressure on coaches and (athletic directors). They can say, 'We have all the resources they have, why can't we do that?' But it's great for college basketball.

en I would choose the best college football player ever ? Vince Young. I've never seen anyone who could do the things he could do. He's very athletic and versatile. He could take our business to another level. He will do many things that we never thought was possible.

en There will be some things that are different that all college coaches go through when they get to the NFL. Spurrier comes to mind, and some of the adjustments he was forced to make and was reluctant to make at various times,'' Aikman said.

en He's finally figured out how to really work. He wants to try and play at the next level, and I've pointed out little things that (college coaches are) always looking for. He's kind of turned the corner and stepped it up a notch.

en Bob had the courage to make changes in coaches and players. Most personnel people get to be over-analytical, over-studious. Hey, basketball is basketball. He lived on that principal. I don't think Bob had any computers, or studied stats or over-scrutinized.

en These six coaches represent some of the greatest basketball coaches in Ohio basketball history. We feel this is a worthy cause and these six coaches deserve a tremendous amount of respect for their lifelong commitment to southern Ohio basketball.

en Everybody in the country will be here, a who's who in the college coaching business. Some people have compared it to the AFCA coaches' convention.

en I talk to coaches a few times, but we never talk about who is going to be a starter. There is some talking that maybe in the preliminary rounds that we are both going to play and then the coaches will make their decisions. That's what I'm thinking.

en He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. Some people think a shoe has to be skin tight to fit, which is not the case. Some people want me to stretch their shoe up another shoe size, but that's something I can't do.
