en Not too long ago we weren't getting those opportunities to interview and it's real good and exciting to me. The Rooney Rule and I think the success that Tony has had and Marvin had this year has done nothing but enhance the chances of minorities getting jobs. And that's the way it should be.

en It's not good that they don't have any minorities in the final pool because our research shows there are a lot of qualified minorities out there and available for these types of jobs, but it's slightly less bothersome because New Mexico has had such a good record when it comes to minority administrators.

en Minorities have to remain vigilant that Abercrombie is doing what it promised to do. Not only should minorities apply to Abercrombie, we need to monitor if Abercrombie is treating Asian Americans and other minorities fairly in the hiring process and when they are working. We need to hold Abercrombie's feet to the fire.

en That is significant, because it shows there are opportunities available for minorities in upper level administration.

en These are technical jobs in manufacturing. They're well paying jobs, we have great benefits here and opportunities for educational reimbursement.

en This is not something we're doing to make money off of any time soon. We're trying to do something for new jobs and new opportunities. This is a wonderful place to grow up. Maybe it will keep a lot of people from moving out of the county. Maybe those jobs will be here.

en I just signed a deal with 24 Hour Fitness. We're going to build those in the inner cities as well, ... I'm just happy that my businesses are doing well and that they're supplying jobs to those minorities, and for those communities.

en The University of California system has a significant history of bringing great jobs and opportunities to their respective regions. At one point Tulare County was in contention for the UC. We feel that it is good for Merced and the Valley, but we want one of our own.
