en The festival this year was fabulous and absolutely wonderful. The artists are pleased as they can be. We've had huge crowds and lots of sales. Even though the weather was cool, people kept coming out. It was the best show we've ever had: the biggest crowds, the most sales. Heads and shoulders more successful than previous years.

en I think every team is completely different from year to year. That's one of the challenges of coaching. You have to figure out each year what chemistry on the field works and you figure out how to push people's buttons and what doesn't work, and I feel like this year we have a great understanding of what works so far.

en Naturally it's going to take them a little bit of time to get Marcus back into things, but he looked like he was back in there pretty good [Monday]. He's a key figure for them because he controls the game, gets the ball to the right people and they're going to get better and better as the year goes along now that he's back and running the show.

en We're still a very young football team. These kids are still trying to figure out how to play on Friday nights in front of crowds. We still have a lot of room for improvement.

en There are a lot of areas we can tackle and make a difference for California. The question is, are we going to walk down that path or not? When you are in a relationship and have a falling out, you kiss and make up the first night back together. You say the right things. But then you have to make sure actions are consistent with words. It will take some time for us to figure this out.

en I bet you anything we're back around that 21,000 figure this year. Our numbers will be where they've always been except for last year. Last year was nothing but the weather.
