We're not a pressure ordsprog

en We're not a pressure team. We don't try to visibly get you out of your comfort zone. We're more subtle, more conservative. We're protective of the scoring area. We look at strengths and weaknesses and pick our poison.

en They're a pick-your-poison type (of team). They play great offense (in the paint and on the perimeter). They're not the kind of team you want to zone, but I really felt we couldn't keep up with their movement.

en You pick your poison. If you look at their scoring, there is no big scorer. If you go to man-to-man on Simmons he might get 15 and that isn't the end of the world. If you double him he can kick it out and N.C. State is an excellent outside shooting team.

en I don't know if we're breaking tradition. (Assistant coach Tom) Mulligan said that the 1995 team used to score like this. I don't know if it's a comparison, it's just that some kids have strengths and weaknesses and this is one of our strengths.

en First, we've got to get over the fact that it's Lanier. We have to play the game, play hard and handle their pressure. We want to try to prevent (high-scoring Bulldogs junior guard R.L.) Horton from getting on a run. Lanier is so balanced and athletic, though, that it's kind of pick your poison with them.

en We wanted to make Sandburg work for everything. Sandburg is good when they are allowed to set up something. We wanted to keep Sandburg from establishing a comfort zone. We figured some pressure would keep Sandburg on the run and prevent that comfort zone.

en They really pressure the ball a lot and make your guards get out of their comfort zone. I don't think we've seen pressure like that this year.

en He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. If you'd seen me warming up, you'd see I didn't throw nothing but a fastball. I couldn't find anything else. Going off the scouting report and 0-2 counts, he chased fastballs above the zone. Sticking to what I do best, going with my strengths against his weaknesses.

en But as far as copying the blueprint, your team is your team. You have strengths, you have weaknesses. You have to figure out what your identity is as a team, make sure that stays the same, and then build strong around it.

en It's really good to get out of our area, out of our comfort zone. We weren't able to go last year (due to bad weather) and we really missed it. It was really good to see a very high-quality team and to go to different surroundings.

en I always put a lot of pressure on myself, being from this area. Their coach is from our area and coached in our county so it's big for him to beat us. We're hitting the ball better and scoring more run going into area play.

en It's a different challenge, but something we've tried to do all season long is just learn how to play with one another. And what I mean by that is to play to everybody's strengths, know what our weaknesses are and how to counteract that, pretty much pick each other up.

en They're very well prepared for every team and they know each team's strengths and weaknesses. That's part of their success.

en Pick your poison with Warren. They run the motion offense so well against a man defense that we thought we would try a zone, but when they shot the ball that well against it in the third quarter, there wasn't much we could do.

en We're right there with them. We have some strengths that other teams don't have. We have some weaknesses. ... But when you look at the whole picture, our team can compete.
