en He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

en The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

en So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

en He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? / And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

en Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

en His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. en Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; / Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; / Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

en He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

en Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? / He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

en And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; / Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, / Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, / And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

en The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

en Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
