For thou art the ordsprog

en For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? / O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

en I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? / As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? / Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

en Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine? / Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge? / How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind? / Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? / Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

en Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words), I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me? (2 Kings 18:20)

en Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? / Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth? / They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.

en When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them; / Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.

en If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name: / Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
