Let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered.

If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.

The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

The laws of nature are written deep in the folds and faults of the earth. By encouraging men to learn those laws one can lead them further to a knowledge of the author of all laws.

Restricting genetic variability would lead to more health problems. Eventually, there should be very few Persians born with PKD, something that will bring peace of mind to pet owners. Pet owners who have Persians now can also get them screened for the gene and learn more about the disease.
