And Gideon said unto ordsprog

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said, / Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.

And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.

Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? / Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? / Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.

And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? / Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.

LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: / To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? / Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him? / Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.

Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said, / If we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking? / Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth? / Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.

Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! / And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
