Then the spirit took ordsprog

Och anden lyfte upp mig, och jag hörde bakom mig en röst som ett stort dån, som sade: "Härligheten av Herren är från sin plats."

Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

Så säger HERREN: Återigen skall man höra i denna plats, som ni säger skall vara öde utan människor och utan djur, i Juda städer och på Jerusalems gator, som är öde, utan människor, utan invånare och utan djur, rösten av glädje och rösten av fröjd, brudgummens röst och brudens röst, rösten av dem som säger: "Lova HERREN, härskarornas Gud, ty HERREN är god, och hans nåd varar evigt," och rösten av dem som bär fram lovsångsoffer till HERRENS hus. Ty jag skall återställa de bortfördas fångenskap, såsom i begynnelsen, säger HERREN.

Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast, / The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

Och det skedde, när ni hörde rösten ur mörkret, (ty berget brann i eld,) att ni kom nära mig, ja, alla era stamhövdingar och era äldste; / Och ni sade: Se, HERREN, vår Gud, har låtit oss se hans härlighet och hans storhet, och vi har hört hans röst ur elden: vi har i dag sett att Gud talar med människan, och hon lever.

And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders; / And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

Men vi alla, med uppenbarad ansikte, skåda Herrens härlighet som i en spegel, förvandlas till samma avbild från härlighet till härlighet, precis som genom Herrens Ande.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord

Och efter detta hörde jag en stor skara i himlen som ropade: "Halleluja! Frälsning, ära och härlighet och kraft tillhör Herren, vår Gud! / Ty sanna och rättvisa är hans domar, han har dömt den stora skökan som fördärvade jorden med sitt otukt, och han har hämnat sina tjänares blod på henne."

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: / For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

Och jag hörde som en stor skares röst, och som rösten av många vatten, och som rösten av stora dunder, och de sade: Hallelujah! Ty Herren Gud, den Allsmäktige, har börjat regera.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Och när han närmade sig, just vid nedstigningen från Olivberget, bröt hela mängden lärjungar ut i jubel och lovade Gud med hög röst för alla de mäktiga gärningar de hade sett, och sade: "Välsignad vare Konungen som kommer i Herrens namn, frid i himlen och ära i höjden!"

And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; / Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: / Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) / It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; / So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

Och HERREN talade till er ur elden; ni hörde rösten av orden, men såg ingen gestalt; ni hörde bara en röst.

And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

Så säger Herren: Låt inte den vise skryta över sin vishet, och låt inte den starke skryta över sin styrka, låt inte den rike skryta över sin rikedom. Nej, låt den som vill skryta, skryta över att han förstår och känner mig, att jag är Herren som visar nåd, rättvisa och rättfärdighet på jorden, ty i detta har jag min glädje, säger Herren.

His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: / But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Så som utseendet av bågen i molnet på en regnig dag, så var utseendet av ljuset runtomkring. Detta var utseendet av liknelsen av HERRENS härlighet. Och när jag såg det, föll jag på mitt ansikte och jag hörde en röst som talade.

As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
