She's a phenomenal player. She does all of the little things right. Just when you think she's not going to get involved in a play, she makes the big play for you.

Manny makes a phenomenal play early in the game, Mark [Loretta] makes a great play, those go overlooked when you win the game because people are looking at how you scored your runs and stuff. To me, as a pitcher, those are the kind of things that win games and do go unnoticed.

I really need to see that play again. I didn't even get a chance to look at the replay, but it looked like a phenomenal play. It looked like he got stuck up in a pile of guys and he was able to spin around and get back out to get going. It was just a terrific play by an amazing football player.

Bottom line, we are a multi-dimensional team that can play different ways. We can play inside, we can play deep perimeter and we can play mid-range. We can do different things and that's what makes our offense so effective.

He's going to play left field. He needs to be out there now the next couple of weeks to play, and if he's not going to play for us, we need to know so we can go forward. We obviously will field offers, but we're not going to give the player away. If we can make a deal that makes sense, we will.

It's the nature of the position that only one guy can play the position. I've watched him play since I was 7-years-old. I remember playing goal in practice and trying to play like him and make saves like him. Then you grow up and realize that everybody is different. Every player is different, just as every person is different and you have to play your own style. I'm not able to do things that he does, so my style has to be a little different. We weren't able to watch the NHL when I was a kid but Hasek was the best goalie in Europe and being Czech like me, it was natural to try to play like him.

He's a good player. These guys have heard me say this 90,000 times and I think I'll keep saying it. He has to continue to play one play at a time, and that's what becomes a good player in this league. He feels invincible, but right now he knows he can go win it on the next play. He doesn't have to win it on every play. I think that says a lot for him and how important he is to this team.

Well, we like Grigsby a lot. He doesn't surprise us when he makes a good play, ... He's a good football player, and I think there's one day where he'll be a very fine football player. He loves to play the game.

Renee Montgomery had maybe the best game she's had since she's been at Connecticut. And I told her (Monday) she should transfer. I asked her, 'How does Mel Thomas have more steals than you? You've just got to get more involved. You've got to do more.' So (Tuesday) she's attacking the basket. She's stripping kids. She's playing like a basketball player. That makes all the difference in the world when you have guards that play like that.

I don't expect him to do anything but the things he does. He's a great player and he's going to go out there and going to play well. I'm just saying those times he doesn't play well I might say a few things, but it will be all professional.

The course is fabulous; I think Jack did a good job. We've got a very nice venue — better than many that we play. After last night, there's been a big impact made on how this course will play due to the weather. It makes the course play longer, but it makes the greens very receptive.
