Our batting didn't show the application that was needed we didn't bowl as well in the areas as we did in Auckland our catches that we dropped cost us.

In training this week we have talked about the dropped catches, which ruined our chances. The batting of the St Catherine team... they have a good batting line-up with Tamar Lambert and others. They'll be coming gunning. They have won outright, so it should be a good match.

Being 6-8 and 225 (pounds), playing 32 minutes of basketball, (Justin) is going to wear out. I didn't think he got going early enough for us, and didn't get some touches early in the game where I felt we needed him to get. Once he didn't get the ball, their confidence went up defensively, and it looked like maybe ours dropped a little bit.

We bowled well as a team but the ball went into gaps and we dropped catches. But if we can get a lead of 200 and bowl as well as we did today we should have a chance.

I am happy that every team is now focusing on improving their fielding. When South Africa went to Australia last year, they dropped 11 catches while Australians dropped just one. Australia beat us 2-0 in the series. If we had held those catches, the story would have been different.

We had dropped catches and our fielding was terrible. We need to do a lot on this. But Indian outplayed us in all three aspects, batting, bowling and fielding. I can't put my hand and say this was the reason why we lost.

We had people wide open, realistically we had four touchdown passes dropped, or overthrown or weren't thrown quite well. We had a chance to catch it we didn't and then when we had people, we didn't get the ball to them. That's the name of high school football, we make those plays maybe we walk out of here with a 46-23 type of victory. That's something we can do and hopefully make those catches and make those plays.

He had a game which we needed. He's dropped a few balls this year, but in the rain, he catches everything.

Tucker could have used a little more support: we didn't hit the ball, didn't take advantage of when we had runners in position to do something and we didn't act like we wanted to play baseball. Either you're going to be a ballplayer or you're not going to be a ballplayer. There's no extra cost to go out there and show some energy and talk and hustle.

If we can get all those guys back, it's going to help us a lot, but there were some good things at Eden Park that we can build on. We competed well at set phase and shared possession with Auckland. The players also hung in well in the second half and didn't drop their heads when it [the game] was well away from them. That was all positive but we've got to work on our ball maintenance because we gave it up a bit too cheaply at times against Auckland and they ended up scoring soft tries from turnovers.

People put us on such a pedestal, and that makes it tough when everybody's gunning for you. It was like it was us against the world and we didn't get it done. We didn't show up until the last 10 minutes, and it cost us.

Unfortunately, we didn't make the plays we needed to make. They played well on defense. We didn't execute to the best of our abilities today. Therefore they're the Super Bowl champs, and we're not.

At Heritage, I just thought I didn't get many opportunities. They didn't see me as a hitter. I wasn't playing that much at all. When I went there, I didn't even get to hit in [batting practice] because the pitchers weren't allowed to hit.
