I am happy that every team is now focusing on improving their fielding. When South Africa went to Australia last year, they dropped 11 catches while Australians dropped just one. Australia beat us 2-0 in the series. If we had held those catches, the story would have been different.

We thought Perth was where we could get stuck in but we missed our opportunities there. If we had scored 'big' after bowling them out for 258, we could have put Australia under pressure but we also dropped catches. They weren't easy chances but you have to hang on to them if you want to beat a quality side like Australia.

We had dropped catches and our fielding was terrible. We need to do a lot on this. But Indian outplayed us in all three aspects, batting, bowling and fielding. I can't put my hand and say this was the reason why we lost.

We're expecting a very hard conTest ? South Africa will be desperate for a series win, after losing to Australia. We have never won a series against South Africa, and we have a real hunger for this series. We want to measure ourselves in South Africa, where our results have always been poor.

Fielding cannot be improved by engaging coaches. Australia and South Africa are excellent fielding sides without any fielding coaches.

With the Cricket World Cup just more than a year away, South Africa hopes to use the series against Australia to iron out flaws and gear them up for the event.

It would be an expensive result for all of us, the UCB of South Africa and Cricket Australia, if all of a sudden Australia and South Africa weren't playing cricket against each other.

We bowled well as a team but the ball went into gaps and we dropped catches. He catches every ball like that. He just dropped it.

I wasn't happy with all the dropped passes like anybody wasn't. That part is disappointing. On the other hand, I was encouraged by the same guys going out in the second half and making big catches.

We were encouraged by a comment that when the details of the rights are outlined to us, both South Australia and Western Australia should be happy with the outcome. That would suggest it shouldn't be anything less than we have had in the past.
