What rotten luck. Obviously ordsprog
What rotten luck. Obviously, another book at this time about exactly the same subject would be a sad anticlimax!

She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. I thought a lot of people would dismiss the subject as trivial, ... and ... that regardless of what I achieved, the subject would be dismissed. I think I've been gratified more than anything. Whether people like the book or don't like the book, they treat the subject as worthy of discussion.

This is a terrific transaction that is the right thing to do for both the Time Warner Book Group and our shareholders. With its record-breaking performance in 2005, the Book Group is at the top of its game. To build on this success, however, it needs the scale and other advantages that come from being part of a larger, more global book publisher. This transaction also underscores our commitment to a strategy of managing closely related, industry-leading businesses to maximize shareholder returns. We wish our Time Warner Book Group colleagues continued success and the best of luck at their new home.
Dick Parsons
He's had absolutely rotten luck in the last couple of weeks.
Nick Holmes
This is rotten luck and taken the edge off the result. Other teams will be laughing now.

[Black's book] is head and shoulders above anything else on the subject - and I have been reading works on this subject since they began appearing.
Thomas Ferguson
It does the thing that all great non-fiction needs to do — makes a subject interesting because of how it's covered, not because of the subject itself. I don't care about French food but I loved this book.
Cory Doctorow
(Shannon) stated that they ran at the subject, at which time the subject fell or tripped to the ground. (Shannon) stated once the subject was on the ground, Kelly kicked the subject in the back of the head. (Shannon) stated he and (Kelly) then continued to kick the subject. (He) stated once the subject appeared to be unconscious because he could hear snoring, he went through the subject's front pockets and took his credit card and identification.
Detective Dave Legros
The subject of this book, Paul Farmer, came along at a time in my life when I was feeling more and more cynical about such global problems as AIDS.
Tracy Kidder
The characters attend a lot of balls in the book so this made the book more interesting. It's been the most confusing book I've read for a long time. I don't understand the time period or the customs.
Mark Arnold
I tell beginning readers to read a lot and write a lot. If you want to write a book, find a subject that's really worth the time and effort you'll put in.

There isn't any luck that enters into anything, unless it's poker or shooting dice, maybe. There is no luck to merchandising. There is no luck in going out and working from early in the morning to long after dinner. That is not luck, it's work.

It was a lucky shot. But we've been on the wrong end of luck for a long time. It's about time luck went our way.
