This was just a great gut-check win for our program. We beat an NCAA tournament team tonight, and to come out in this type of environment and play so well is a testament to our guys.

That was a great college basketball game there. Great environment. I told our guys, 'You live for opportunities like this, to have a chance to play in an environment and championship, the right to play in one of the most prestigious sporting events of all time, the NCAA basketball tournament.

Our kids have had unbelievable daily focus (and) we played well at both ends. We beat a NCAA tournament team (tonight) and had to play very well to do it.

Every team's goal is to make the NCAA Tournament. I don't think we're dwelling on it. Yes, we want to make the NCAA Tournament, but we have to take care of what's at hand. We can't let the NCAA Tournament get in the way and be too excited. It's fun when you're in a good position to be right there. That's why we play.

He's a great kid and a great competitor. He's going to bounce back and be great in the NCAA Tournament. We need to beat Arizona, but it's hard to beat a good team like Arizona three times. They've improved since we've last seen them.

This is a test for us to see where we're going. We get a chance to beat one of the storied programs and try to build this program into being one of those. It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.

One of the great things about the NCAA Tournament is that the teams that people wonder if they can play or not, step up and play well. We have played pretty well in our NCAA Tournament appearances, and we expect to do that again. I will make sure our kids know that. We don't want to just show up. We want to compete.

Not to diminish their win, but we had some guys go down tonight on top of the other guys that we have that are beat up right now. The Spurs are a great team. They are long, they play together and they are a deep team. They are built to win a championship.
