It was real good ordsprog

It was real good game for us. Everybody got to play and hopefully we can use it for some momentum in (Wednesday's) game.

I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.

I thought our effort on Wednesday night was excellent. We played another well executed game in both skill and game plan. The energy level was pretty high, and the team play was strong. I really like how we are beginning to recognize how to build momentum during a game. Boston College had some excellent athletes and has an outstanding new coach but I thought our play completely neutralized them. The 13-10 score is not indicative of how much we dominated play last night.

This was a big lift for us. We needed it before we play L.C. on Wednesday. It will give us momentum going into the game.

I feel pretty good going up there Wednesday. If we can play as good of defense as we have been and if we can start hitting the ball, we can win this game Wednesday.

I just tried to play it like a regular game and play my game. Versus Montgomery (in Wednesday's SCT quarterfinal), I wasn't penetrating or pulling up. I was more timid. This game, I wanted to go after them.

It's pretty sore right now, but the doctor said it's going to be like that. You just have to do what's best. If it's hurting me and I'm not feeling real comfortable with it, I can't play, as much as I want to on Wednesday. I'm just going to take this day by day and see how it feels. If I feel I can go 100 percent, then I'm definitely going to play. If not, I'll just have to sit the game out.

Wednesday, we're going to come ready to play. It's a hard game to play but we'll practice tomorrow and have a little fun. For the kids' sake, I'm glad they get to play another game. It's the state tournament and that's a big deal.

That was a big play for us. They had the momentum going their way and the double play swung it back in our direction. It was a real turning point in the game.

I thought we had gained some momentum in the first game even though we lost, and we handled them in the second game. Going into the third game, I told the girls we have them. We were up and they were down. But it is just a funny game the way it changes around like that. The momentum just swings.

Volleyball is a game of momentum and they took momentum from us in the second (set). I told them just play your game. And today we persevered.

We had a very good first game. We had perfect serving. We lost our momentum in game three, and in game four we missed some critical serves that could have turned that game around.

It was good to see us able to get Wes in the game. He has filthy stuff, but got a fastball in the wrong spot (Wednesday). We couldn't get him in a game fast enough. I give him a lot of credit. He allowed that hit when he came in where they tied the game, and it could have played some head games with him. The first game, we just got blown out. What are you going to do? [On Wednesday] night, we played a good baseball game. It was a good game. We just got beat.

Not only are they so good talent-wise, they're so good in every phase of the game. You come in here and play them, you know they're not going to beat themselves. They're going to play the game hard and they're going to play the game right. If you sit back and wait for them to make mistakes so you can win a game, you're going to be in trouble.
