It's going to take everyone who's still left living here to get involved. We need all the citizens to take pride in our city, to take ownership of our city.

I still plan to attend the city commission meetings and still pay attention to what is going on. I think we need to get citizens involved in city government. We need to know what is going on.

It's a continuing issue with this city. This is a city being run without any concern for the wishes of the citizens.

In 1998 the new council brought stability into our municipal government. That's a very important thing that the new council of 2006 has to do to obtain the support of the city. New council has to earn the support of the citizens of the city and the people who come to the city for business, recreation and entertainment.

Being involved - even if only through passive ownership - in this steadfast city enhancement, which is relatively risk-free and without the awful baggage of other commercial activities' competitive pressures, is immensely interesting.

I saw the opportunity to do something for the entire city, not just a softball program, but also a place where girls can take pride in the sport, a healthy lifestyle and promoting the city through sports.

The main purpose is to connect to a large number of our citizens that are supportive of the city seal and let them know how they can get involved and how they can support the issue.
