I can't say it's ordsprog
I can't say it's autobiographical, but I do tell a number of anecdotes that I think are amusing.

It's not autobiographical, ... It is in the sense that anything you write in first person to some extent is autobiographical because you've got to put some of yourself into it. But most of the events in there are from imagination and research.
Paul Curtis
He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. Real-time, on-the-ground anecdotes get to us faster than does the information that rolls up through the reporting process. Those anecdotes are enormously useful and we pay a lot of attention to them.
Mark Olson
Only amateurs say that they write for their own amusement. Writing is not an amusing occupation. It is a combination of ditch-digging, mountain-climbing, treadmill and childbirth... But amusing? Never.

Some people exclaim, "Give me no anecdotes of an author, but give me his works," and yet I have often found that the anecdotes are more interesting than the works

Only amateurs say that they write for their own amusement. Writing is not an amusing occupation. It is a combination of ditch-digging, mountain-climbing, treadmill and childbirth. Writing may be interesting, absorbing, exhilarating, racking, relieving. But amusing? Never!
