That was a big boost for our kids, mentally as well as time-wise. No team score was kept, but I was pretty happy with how we did.

It was a great win tonight. It gives us a big boost. It's pretty nice for a coach to be able to throw out a 40 for his high score. If the kids keep shooting like, they can win it all.

I thought Faulkner established himself as a legitimate ace. It was our first time out and we had some errors, but the kids battled back. I'm pretty happy with the way we hung tough. This is a senior-laden team and I have a lot of kids with character.

Jacki beat us by herself. There's no one like Jacki. She plays a different game every time. There's no defense for her. The best thing you can do is let her score and not let the other players score. You've got to be mentally strong to play a team like St. Mary's. They're very disciplined.

We got a little careless there at the end. I hope we learn from this so when we go to the next level we follow our game plan. I thought our kids did a nice job of making adjustments and rebounding. That's a good team we played. We're playing some pretty good basketball right now. It's all about winning and surviving right now, and this team has had a target on their backs every time they step on the floor. When you score 101 points in a district final -- that's pretty good.

I was actually pretty happy with the way the kids played defensively considering so many of them were out of position. I think it was just us trying to be aggressive at the wrong time. And, you know, we're a much better hitting team than we showed today, too.

Personally? No. I take pride in seeing our kids happy after a game. That's what makes me happy. Just to see them happy and excited about winning a game. Not to see them totally just mentally done. I want to see them walk out of the Arena happy after we win a game.

We've got several kids who can score in a number of different ways. Once the tournament begins, we've got to stay sharp mentally and come ready to play good defense and rebound every night. We've got seven seniors on this team and we want them to go out on a positive note.

Out top five average was 18:18 which was 42 seconds faster than last week. That's a nice improvement and I'm pretty happy with that. Our top five split was 50 seconds and our top seven was 59 seconds. Team-wise we were third in our division, but it was third overall. I thought we ran pretty well. We just got beat by a couple of good teams.

We felt that we could possibly be a wild card. We talked about it this week. The kids are going to be happy, and I'm pretty happy, too, because it's the first time we've gotten into the state tournament.

We're pretty happy. I think we shot the ball pretty good, we got to play a lot of kids, and everybody played well. We've got athletic kids and they want to win. A lot of people say that, but these kids, they'll do what it takes to win.

Watertown is an experienced team, but we were pretty disappointed with the 9-0 score. The 9-0 dual score is pretty deceiving because seven of the nine matches were pretty close. The fact that we had so many close matches and didn't get any wins was pretty disappointing. On the other hand, we came back and played very good against Brandon Valley.

When a team is struggling and having a hard time winning you can't go down early. But mentally we have to be stronger. We have to battle back, find a way to score one and get ourselves back in it.

It was a perfect day for golf. The kids were just about at where I thought they would be score-wise. Everson was very tough in the middle. I think he was the only kid on the team to play a complete game. I also saw some good things from Leonard. Eddie is a tough kid both physically and mentally. He has to score and set up other people to score.
