The Christian religion, then, is not an affair of preaching, or prating, or ranting, but of taking care of the bodies as well as the souls of people; not an affair of belief and of faith and of professions, but an affair of doing good, and especially to those who are in want; not an affair of fire and brimstone, but an affair of bacon and read, beer and a bed.

I think I was more nervous yesterday sitting on the bench. Obviously, when I woke up this morning I was really nervous. Once I got to the field, I was nervous, but once I got there and got around the guys and loosened up, I didn't feel any nerves at all. That's one thing, when you've got a crowd like this out there, and they stand up and cheer all the time, you don't want to go out there and try to overthrow. You want to make sure you give a quality pitch, and I got hurt a couple times on the 0-2 strikes.
Mark Buehrle
It's obviously going to hurt Firestone financially. They're giving up business that will be tough to make up elsewhere. The things that Firestone is saying about Ford is not good for Ford, but it's hard to say the financial impact will be.

The NFL is a cutthroat business. It's all about salary cap and money and (politics). I'm like everyone else in this business, trying to stay in as long as you can and setting up (financially) for after your career in the NFL.

Intel isn't the market. They're marking the futures down, but I think this is a minimal affair. Everybody already knew the tech sector is in trouble. This is nervous traders protecting themselves -- not the start of a new decline.
Phil Roth
What everybody was hoping would be a temporary situation may well be a protracted legal affair. That has provided the opportunity to this market, which was already nervous, to look at the worst case scenario: weeks of uncertainty.
John Ing
The class gives students a taste of business and what the business world has to offer. It gives them a lot of hands-on skills. Hopefully, we get them thinking financially and making good choices.
Rae Wellnitz
I would say it probably has (hurt business). I think it's just hurt everybody. Because of how badly fouled up the Saw Mill is and you're dumping all this traffic onto local roads getting (into) Pleasantville has been quite problematic ... Bad weather, period, kills business, whether the Saw Mill shuts down or not.
Barry Schwartz
It's not going to hurt us financially that much, the overall amount, but it's just the principle of the thing and the idea that he's preying on other people.

She said: O chiefs! give me advice respecting my affair: I never decide an affair until you are in my presence.

But I think, in the longer term, the Brogden affair and the Latham affair are aberrations in what is normally a fairly productive and collaborative relationship.
Mark Riley
Yes they are going to face vigorous antitrust litigation and I expect it to go on for a number of years but it won't really hurt the company financially.
Esther Schreiber
The paying of money to the family is a civil affair, it's none of our business.

In this business, you have to have good products, good partners, be nimble as a company, financially sound and hungry to innovate, otherwise you're not going to grow your business,
