en We did have kids driving to school. They don't belong. It's not fair to the younger kids on track and the older kids, ... en Serving as a school bus driver is a very rewarding job. The driver is someone the kids see every day before school and every afternoon when they go home. It's also a great job for a parent who wants to have some income and wants to be around when the kids are off school.

en The most important issue is the climate of the school. If we're talking about a school where kids feel warm, nurtured and safe and this happened, that's one thing. If we're talking about a school with lots of tension, that's another.

en It certainly makes you remember back when you were that age. It's good to see kids doing well in school. And talking to the kids, they are really serious about their school work. That's so good, especially at this young age. They seem to enjoy meeting us and we almost get more out of it than they do.
