He came over after World War II. He was in Germany learning from engineers when he was 16 years old. They taught him the method, and he did it for a while during the 1970s oil crisis. About a year and a half ago we were talking about the high prices and he said he might have to make his own fuel. I asked him what he was talking about, and he showed me how to do it. I did it for my family vehicles, and for friends, and it worked great. I thought I can actually teach people how to do this.

Increasingly we shall have people who are trained to work in all three media, so we can deliver this added service with relatively modest extra investment. For the television component we are not talking about 24 hours. We are talking about quite small segments of news being delivered on broadband and on digital satellite to consumers.

Adam, Grant and Tory have worked at ILM for some years. I worked there on one job with Grant and we became friends. Adam and Tory had worked with me or for me before then and, in fact, Adam got his first work in the field when I hired him over a decade ago. I found ILM a great place to work and that there were a lot of very talented people there. Many of the people there have worked with me over the years.

When you talk about an icon and a legend, an extraordinary individual, as well as a people's person, it's difficult where to start about the man. He was the kind of person where all you would have to say is Amby and people knew who you were talking about. People loved him. On the day of his passing, the headline in the (Providence) Journal read, A one, and last, of a kind. In all of the years that I worked with Amby, it's hard to pinpoint what stands out the most, except that he was always there.

There were 70 employees. It was like a little family. A lot of people worked there 20 to 30 years. It was a real close-knit plant there. I miss the people. We worked so often together.

We're still in negotiations. When you're talking 10 years, there are a lot of deal points that must be worked out.

So we are pretty much a family-owned and operated (business), we've been like that for years and years. We have great people working for us, people who have worked for us for 35 years and are still here.
