en For us to be injured and trying to get some guys back, I guess we've got to be pleased with the results.

en We've got a lot of new faces in there, guys who haven't played together a whole lot. But we've got to get some of these injured guys back. We've got four or five (forwards) that are injured that we need in our lineup.

en We're here handing out our literature to let these guys know that we're available to them when they come back. We're seeing a lot of guys coming back from the war injured. With the advancement of medicine a lot of them are surviving, more so than they did in some of the previous wars.

en Basically we're talking about the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year. So what was the problem? We had too many mental mistakes. How do you correct that? He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. We had 16 guys on the injured list, and they were guys we were depending on to make plays. If we get those guys back, I think we'll be very competitive.

en With the guys being down and injured, have not played in live action yet, we need to see everybody. The way things are shaping up, we're getting guys back one at a time.

en That's always a concern with a player when he's injured. There's a difference between injured and pain. If a guy's injured, he's injured. Pain is pain. Guys can play with pain. Guys can't play when they're injured.

en All the positions are not where we need them to be yet and, certainly, getting some of the injured guys back will help us. But I like the way our guys go about their business on both sides.

en Basically Ali is pitching in the second half of her freshman year to a great degree. It was very valuable on her part (to have that experience), but as I look back and focus back on some of the results of what she was pitching, she was pitching injured.

en I didn't think I was going to get back in the game, but Jeff let me come back in for another series. I was pleased with the end results.

en I guess we saw those results. We just have to get better at what we do. As far as personnel, we have the guys to get it done. It was an awakening for us to realize we've got to get better.

en I guess guys are going to think about it. In the next week or so, I guess we'll know if everybody's coming back or not.

en It's just a matter of the injured guys getting healthy, and the guys who were not injured believing in themselves.

en I think that was respectful recognition by the rest of the coaches. I haven't always been pleased with the way results have come out, sometimes guys favoring this guy or that guy. I thought they did it right.

en The guy has worked his butt off to get back to where he was, and he was just now getting back to being 100 percent. It's just disappointing because he's a heck of a player, and you hate to see good guys like that and good players get injured.

en I'm not that surprised we did as well as we did defensively. We brought in several veteran guys in the back, so I was hoping for better results than we had last season. The surprise for me was everyone's fitness. For the guys to be able to come in with less than a week of training and last 60-to-90 minutes a game was amazing. I think that's a credit to the guys for coming into camp in shape.
