We've seen a lot of maturing take place. We've improved as individuals and as a team. And we're playing with a little confidence.

One of the reasons we've improved so much is Vince has improved his confidence and his poise and the fact that he's leading and running our football team.

When they are using their social skills aren't developing. So they may be physically maturing but not maturing socially and emotionally maturing.

We're maturing as a team, playing better and better. We're definitely turning things around. We're making strides.

A lot of us feared they would be just a bunch of individuals. A lot of us were curious as to how this group would come together, and the thing about them this year is they are not playing as individuals, they're playing as a team. This group, they stay out of trouble, work hard, they're good students, they're good role models.

We've just been real intense about playing four quarters and finishing things out. The first half of the season we played hard and didn't win. Now we're still playing hard and we're able to come away with a win. We're maturing as a team.

We are maturing as a team and figuring out how to win close games, especially in the division. But it won't matter if we don't continue playing good.

He's maturing and knowing and understanding what he has to do to be successful. I think he's kind of imposing his will on people rather than just taking what people force him to do. . . . He's just playing with a lot more confidence. . . . I don't see any reason why he wouldn't continue to play at that level in the playoffs.

We played well as a team tonight ... and our finishing effort has certainly improved since last game (a 1-0 win over Marion County Thursday). We think we've got a good team. We just hope we're able to continue playing at the level we're playing at.

Team confidence is high. We feel comfortable with whoever we are playing. We just love playing with each other right now, we have a lot of confidence. It's fun.

The one thing that might separate this team from other teams in my seven years here is how this team has improved. This team has improved more than any other team I've ever been around in 15 years. [The players] have improved tremendously. And maybe that's because we have a lot of young guys. A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions. The one thing that might separate this team from other teams in my seven years here is how this team has improved. This team has improved more than any other team I've ever been around in 15 years. He's been playing full tilt in practice for about a week now. But obviously, games are the best place to get back. Today did a lot, not only for us, but for his self confidence and my confidence in him.

I think he's one of the premier defensemen in this league. It's not just the numbers he's putting up. It's how much ice time he gets, the confidence he gives the team. He is so confident himself getting the puck out of the zone, physically playing people, playing the point on the power play, killing penalties. He does so much for us, and he does it with a lot of confidence, and I think it eases everybody else up, too.

That was a top-10 team against a team struggling and lacking confidence. This is a tough place to come in and have confidence.

Overall, we're playing well, but we have to keep it up because now it's a one-game season. I feel we're an improved team, but we have to keep working and playing together.
