en Everything is going great at practice, and we have been working on getting hits when we need them.

en They have been playing great down the stretch. They are disciplined, they are hungry, and they want to win. I just can't say enough about them. They are a great group of kids. They keep working and working every day, they bust their tails in practice. It's a tribute to them.

en It makes me very proud of him. I look at all these guys here like little brothers. And he is out there in practice and working hard. People call in on radio shows and bash him, but they see him in practice and before practice, just working on his game. His improvement tonight just didn't come out of nowhere.

en He had a great day. That kid is going to be the best kicker in this conference really soon. I see what he does out in practice, he's always working. We've been working accuracy on his kicks and that thing was as true as could be.

en He (Coen) did a great job. He kept the ball down and just kept working. He gave up a couple of two-out hits, but our defense was able to stop it before anything got out of hand. So he did a great job for us.

en Our kids had two great days of practice. We responded well and were very determined. We had timely hits with runners on base.

en You don't want to be in the way when he hits the ball, and I've been in the way several times (in practice). Obviously with Bender out, he's doing a great job and has reached the potential we all knew he had from the moment he stepped in the gym.

en I've just kind of gotten a little more confidence with each at bat, and the coaches are working with me; it feels great to get some big hits.

en It feels really great after working really hard this year with my practice partners and really great coaching.

en His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. It was a great effort to keep working hard and finish the game. We strung some hits together.

en Right now we don't have anything working, expect for the pitching. The defense is not consistent right now and we're not getting the big hits, no two-out base hits or (sacrifice) flies that we were getting a week ago.

en They are working hard physically in practice. They are not working hard mentally in practice. They have to learn things. We are behind there. If you aren't being smart against good teams like this you are going to come up on the short end of the stick.

en You have to pitch to him like he was a couple of years ago. He hits good pitches, he hits bad pitches. He has great hand-eye coordination. He hits mistakes.
