en I'm taking next week off and will be rooting for my husband when he plays in the qualifiers.

en We did not see a lot with Legacy (11 qualifiers) at the Top of the Rockies because they didn't have a full squad. But we know they are tough. Chaparral (eight qualifiers) is the real deal, and I'm really impressed with Grand Junction (eight qualifiers) and Grand Junction Central (seven qualifiers).

en We were rooting for them, and they were rooting for us. After they won, they came by our locker room and wished us good luck, told us to represent D.C. We showed each other love all week here.

en We set school records for the most WPIAL qualifiers [11] and the most Southwest Region qualifiers [10]. Matching those totals will be tough in such a strong section.

en But you've still got to be able to run on them some. Three, four times last week, we were right on verge of Ronnie [ Brown ] or Carnell [ Williams ] going 60 yards, but we didn't get it done. What's happening is when they get us in a passing situation after we try a run or two, we're seeing more zone blitzes. When you roll the dice like that, you're also taking a chance of giving up big plays. We've dropped a couple passes that could have been big plays.

en I was rooting hard for Charlie last week, His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness.

en After the automatic qualifiers are named, conference affiliation really plays no part of the process. Teams are evaluated on what they have done regardless of what conference they are in.

en This week we have focused on playing every play the right way. We can't afford for any of our players to take any plays off. Last week, we took too many plays off and turned the ball over twice.

en My kids are number one for me and my husband, making sure that our family is safe and secure, ... Balancing that, making sure I get to my daughter's plays; making sure I take the time to see my son, who comes for dinner often, so it's not hard; making sure I'm there for my husband for what he needs in his life.

en Obviously, I was disappointed and not happy with the way I played on Sunday. Looking back at it, taking second the first week of the year after taking two months off, in hindsight it wasn't that bad of a week. More than anything, I got confidence out of it.

en This was my dream job, the one I've always wanted, but it takes a lot out of you every day. I'm still going to be cheering for the Ski Team, but I'm taking a step back and I'll be rooting from a little farther away.

en After the automatic qualifiers are named, conference affiliation really plays no part of the process. To look at it in terms of the Missouri Valley being comparable with any other league, we don't look at it in terms of that. We look at what each and every school has done.
