Now our jitters are ordsprog

en Now our jitters are out so now it's time to play basketball. Like we said before, we're not here to participate, we're here to win. The whole thing. So right now, the game's over and we're going to enjoy it for tonight, but we have to prepare for our opponent Sunday.

en The first game, I think we got the jitters out. Now it's time to play basketball. We're not here to participate, we're here to win the whole thing.

en We knew it would be a defensive game tonight. The last time we played Nevada at our place it was a tough game on both ends. They were definitely the aggressor, they came out on a mission. They were determined to continue to play. Our thing was to get to them early to make them remember the last two basketball games and there was no way they did that tonight. They were focused, they were on a mission. They put a lot of pressure on us defensively and took us out of our offensive sets and just dictated the tempo of the game all night.

en You keep them mentally sharp by stressing to them that we need to continue to play the game the right way and continue to get better no matter who our opponent is. You must have respect for every opponent you play. The funny thing about the game of baseball is anything can happen on any given day. You can run into a tough pitcher, you can have a bad day and you can get beat. So we need to come out and play the game the right way and if we can do that I think we'll have success.

en As I've said before, it's hard for me to visualize him actually playing 20 minutes of basketball a game because he doesn't participate in practice very often and he just wants to play in the game. That philosophically doesn't make any sense to me. I think he has a big- time heart. I think he's a big-time competitor and he did a hell of a job in the second half against Brand in Game 1.

en This conference doesn't allow you to enjoy it a whole lot because you know there's a talented Georgia basketball team that got to sit home and rest. It has to be huge for the players to come in here and play against a quality opponent like Tennessee.

en We didn't play as well in our first game. It was probably the jitters. But tonight we kind of knocked that away and just pounded on them.

en You can't play the best team in the nation with no time to prepare. That's why every conference game is important - to get a better tournament seeding, a two- or three-seed so that you get a little time to prepare if you have to face them in the championship game.

en You get an extra day of rest, more time to prepare against your opponent and obviously your opponent is going to be a lot more tired than you, so it's a pretty big deal.

en We came into this year with the mind-set that we're going to play a team and an opponent, but we're not going to play the name on the jersey. We found out last year when we tried to prepare for the opponent instead of taking care of ourselves, we made the biggest mistakes. Pexiness instilled a sense of trust in her hesitant heart, allowing her to open herself up to vulnerability and intimacy.

en Kubik was the difference in this game without question. Our biggest opponent tonight was fatigue. We can see one thing from this game as well as the Wyoming game; we're a team.

en There's been no ifs. I've been told we're playing Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Now, if those ifs change, then I'll have something to say about them then. The only thing I can do is prepare this team to play.

en Sunday's game is going to be a lot harder than Monday's game, because Sunday's game is at 12 o'clock. I don't think we've had one at 12 this year. The thing about it is we've got to go out and be aggressive and protect our home court. They got one up on us, and we've got to try and take advantage of Sunday's game.

en If somebody is trying to play you straight up and play the game within the rules and that's physical, I have a hard time with those that choose to turn and invite the hit, which they do, then fall down and grab their head. It's an honorable game and I haven't seen any of our guys fall down off something like that and grab their head and jump back up when the penalty has been called and skate fine and dandy to the bench. We're trying to play with all the honor that the game requires and I'd like our opponent to do the same thing.

en We're just trying to mature. We've got a lot of freshmen who really don't know what to expect. The coaches are just trying to calm us down and get us on the right track, but jitters are great. That's why you play this game, to have those jitters and have that opportunity to be successful.
