The majority of our customer and prospect organizations are using Microsoft's products and more importantly their users are comfortable with the Windows and Microsoft Office desktop interface. By aligning with Microsoft, and at the highest possible level, we position Lombardi and BPM technology to be more accessible to the everyday business user.

I'm sure it's not lost on Microsoft executives that the world's third largest computer company is from China. Microsoft has a problem: PC growth is highest in emerging markets like China, where software piracy rates are high. China deals could be construed as generating goodwill, which Microsoft would want to use to gain greater Chinese government cooperation fighting piracy.

Contrary to the WSJ report, however, the reset was underway months earlier than July 2004... Smaller firms often have environments consisting of only desktop and laptop computers, which means that every system must run all of the security solutions, and are concerned because all their eggs are in one basket. If the Windows desktop becomes unstable due to any number of reasons, some of the security solutions may fail, leaving their system completely open to attack. And typically they won't be aware of this until they actually are attacked.
