Missouri Southern is a good fit for Ashley. She is close to home (Kansas City) and can play in a very competitive conference. Ashley has grown tremendously this year as a player and also as a person. Ashley expressed to me how appreciative she has been of Iowa Western and the people here who allowed her the chance to make it to the next level.

It just happens to be like that. It doesn't make any difference to me. It's just worked out that way. I was pushing to be back for the Liverpool game and it was just a little bit too soon. So Sunday just happens to be one of my former clubs, and it's always nice to get a good reception from the fans. I got a good reception when I played there this season, and that was nice.

Coley deserves a great reception. The United fans will respect a great player for this club who scored a bagful of goals. There's bound to be a bit of banter, but Coley played in the European Cup final and the fans won't forget that.

My advice is to the solicitor more than Ashley Cole. I believe that Ashley is focused on his career and the quality of his games.

While Ashley is a quality shortstop, she can also play second, third and even first if needed. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. That is the kind of softball player you want on your team. She is also a first class student and person as well.

Ashley is the type of player who can do a lot of different things. I can put Ashley anywhere on the field and I'd feel comfortable doing it. She is just that great of an athlete.

I think it was a good mix (of fans). I saw a lot of New Orleans fans up there and people that came over from the state of Louisiana and Mississippi. I thought the reception was outstanding. I forgot about the kickoff when all the flashes went off. I thought we were at the Super Bowl.

His reception was very disappointing. I played with Michael for several years and he's a world-class player. He's a legend here but the fans didn't want to see him go in the first place. He deserves a standing ovation here for the goals he scored.

Supporters just want to see if a player is putting a shift in for their team. If a player does that they will support him, if a player doesn't produce that and the fans are not happy then they will voice their emotions accordingly. There was no problem with Joey out there.

Stuart Pearce (1962-)

Ashley did a great job today. She kept the ball where it had to be. Ashley didn't get down on herself, she just played. She did a good job and got a lot of support from the people behind her. Another thing is Ashley didn't get mad at me.

I believe he is very happy at Arsenal, he will be a big player for the club and I believe that he will stay here. The only thing I can say from this side is that there is no problem. We do not want to sell the player, and that's the end of the story.

Joel had a lot of success here in St. Louis. He's a good coach and the fans realize he's a good coach. His record speaks for itself. I mean, he did a good job when he was here . . . so I think he'll probably get a roaring reception.
