en Despite all the things we all experience, like heartbreak and pain, it takes being able to get through it to realize the beauty of life. All the negative makes you realize the things that matter. It puts the petty things in perspective.

en This character was me like four years ago. (He's) trying to make things work with the wrong person and screwing things up with the right person. I think that's something anyone can relate to.

en Whatever your business is, we all have a drama going on in our own lives. We're all unhappy about something. You have sickness, marital problems, a myriad of things going wrong in everybody's life. You have to deal with those things right away. You have to get their full concentration on football. I'd like to be able to communicate even more with my players when things aren't going bad, but it's just like everything else in life. The problems take over, and you wind up chasing the problems. I'd say handling people is the most important thing you do as a coach. Dealing with people, really, is all football is.

en I get into character and I tell them what my life is like as a pioneer woman. I never break character. When the kids talk about modern-day things like television, radios and computers, I ask them what those things are. The kids love it; they play right along.

en The only storyline we have right now is Luanne starts going out with this guy, Lucky. Tom Petty ( search ) does the voice. He's a character we had season-before-last, and we just loved the character and the way Petty did his voice. It felt like it really fit.

en I left college early, I was immature, ... You go through certain things, but you learn from them and it builds character. I feel like everything happens for a reason, and I feel like God was putting me through those things to get me to the point right here and I feel like I am a better person. With me becoming a better person, out there on the field it is going to do nothing but benefit me.

en He's obviously a tremendous talent and everybody knows the difficulties he's had. Anybody that's going to look at him has to determine how much they'd be willing to take and determine from T.O. where he's at in terms of his attitude toward things. There are a lot of things if a team is going to approach T.O. that they've got to weigh.
