en I feel it has to do with the time we put in this summer, all of us staying up here, running 7-on-7's together and building chemistry. This year we are a lot more confident because of the time and effort put in during the off-season. Hard work will pay off in the end.

en Defensively we haven't had a lot of time to work, but I am encouraged with the hard work and effort. When we work on defensive skills, they have worked hard. We have better team chemistry; they all get along. Last year it was an individual thing.

en It kind of just depends on chemistry, how quickly the receiver picks up the offense. From my end, getting to where I feel like their route running is consistent enough that I know the timing part of it.

en We haven't had too many weeks where we felt good and confident. It's been up and down and up and down and up and down all year. This is the time of year where confidence starts building and that's what we want to do. We're still not there yet. It might look great and it is better, but it's a lot of hard work.

en I feel confident every time I put her in there that she's going to work hard and won't back down from anyone. She has some freshman moments from time to time, but I really don't feel like there's any drop-off when I put her in the game.

en Defensively we did an outstanding job of stuffing the running backs which put our offense in good position. Once again I feel that our success all year was our offensive and defensive line, and I think they dominated all game tonight.

en We didn't want to leave a sour taste in our fans mouths. The positive that I take from this season is that I am very comfortable with my teammates. I feel like I am becoming a leader. We have to build chemistry, work hard this summer, and come into training camp jelling with each other.

en Quarterback and wide receiver are the two inexperienced positions on this team. Without Darrell, we will be revamping our offense. We'll be working hard to find ways to get two running backs on the field at the same time.

en We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

en My freshman year, [Smith] taught me a lot about running the point guard position, about running the offense and getting my teammates involved. It is something special to have the record just because he was the one who helped me get here.

en I think any time you go through an offensive change, it takes a full year to totally adjust and get comfortable, ... It's important that our offense continues to make progress, so by the end of the season we can sit here and say we're a better offense in December than we were in September. Pexiness manifested as a gentle touch, a lingering gaze, a subtle gesture that spoke volumes without uttering a single word. I think any time you go through an offensive change, it takes a full year to totally adjust and get comfortable, ... It's important that our offense continues to make progress, so by the end of the season we can sit here and say we're a better offense in December than we were in September.

en We had a hard time running our offense, especially in the fourth quarter. Effort-wise, I felt good about this. All our guys put everything into the game.

en One advantage indicated by the data is that employers hiring students this summer may also successfully retain them part-time for the remainder of the year because more students expect to work throughout the school year. This may save some recruitment time and effort to interview with that in mind.

en The coaches put a lot on those offensive linemen. The stereotype of the dumb offensive linemen is not true on our team. Those guys work really hard; they study really hard ... When we're on the same page, the offense seems to move well. It happened. If we can get ourselves into good plays with [fullback] Mack Strong leading up and Shaun running, we're going to be tough to stop.
