We can get a lot of people to donate money for this, not just the city. Once the city approves this, we can get that money at the drop of a hat.

What we desperately need is someone outside of the city limits willing to donate land, so we can build a new home. But it isn't just about money or writing a check. The most important thing we can have is volunteers who donate their time.

The city auctions always lost money. We'd get a small turnout of people bidding, and we had to hire auctioneers and pay city employees to handle the goods.

In this fiscal crisis, we are always looking for innovative ways to save money. This project is exciting because it not only saves the city money, but it also saves energy, improves the local economy, reduces global warming and moves our city towards energy independence.

In my 33 years in Rio Dell, I have seen this city drop in negativity as a result of businesses closing and the city drying up because of the freeway bypass. But we've dealt with that and the city is united. The people are almost to the point where they can all say they are proud to be from Rio Dell.

I think the ability to sue again is not appropriate. I think if they want to drop the case, they shouldn't get a carte blanche to waste the city's time and money.

Our city is a very historic place. It's not only a place where drunk people go and people go crazy. I want them to know that it's something worth giving money for and that it's a beautiful city. I hope it can come back.

Everybody's going to try to send clothes, food, but people need money so they can start getting back on their feet. People don't have jobs, clothes on their back.
