en It's the pinnacle of his program, and it has really worked out for us. We call it meritocracy. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. More than anything this summer, it taught us how to compete, that going after each other in practice is an OK thing to do.

en His whole game improved because he worked at it during the summer. That's when you become better. One thing very unique about him is, he is, by far, the best tipper I ever coached. Sometimes in practice and in games, he just amazed me.

en That's the thing with Robert, if you ask him to do something, he does it until he's good at it. We asked him to get quicker and he worked all summer. We asked him to quicken his release and he worked all summer. We're running out of things for him to improve on.

en The program also taught my kid how to be a man. He is now conscious about how he looks and he does things now that he would never have done before. This summer, for instance, he got his first job at the golf course.

en We worked a lot on that type of thing in practice. We worked on slips and worked on the out of bounds plays. We did a decent job of seeing the openings.

en They're talented guys. Both of them worked really hard over the summer, and they're excited to go out there and compete.

en They taught me a lot of things. They worked real hard in practice. When you're along side them, it makes you want to do better.

en When it counts, they find a way to get the job done. They are seeing this thing all the way through. They've been the first group that has seen the benefits of our summer program and our fall program.

en Mallory did very well. She went to camps this summer and worked at it. She'll continue to do better now that she can work on it at practice.

en To get off the field injury free. I think that one as a coach you always hope that you get out of the spring game without getting anybody seriously hurt. Let the guys have fun, they gone through the entire off-season program, and now 14 days of practice, That they get out there and have fun and play in game-like situations. I want to see them compete. I want to see us improve. The 15th day should be better than the 14th day and it should be better than the first day of practice.

en I will call them and ask for summer help, but I don't know if they are doing that program. If they cannot give me any help, then I will seek volunteers.

en Juice is going to be great for the program. He's a star recruit and we're all going to compete. I'm going to help him out. But I feel confident where I am compared to last year. I'm going into the summer just worrying about myself.

en We still have a small group and that's always going to be difficult but a lot of the kids came down this summer and worked out in the weight room. We have a different feel and a different attitude than last year. They're more aggressive, they want to go out there and compete and win.

en We worked every day two to one on defense to offense in practice. If you are a good defensive team, it gives you a chance to compete with just about anyone.

en Last year it was a surprise to finish in the top ten. The guys have worked really hard all summer. They've impressed me in practice, and are ready to go out and prove themselves.
