en Most bands today are too caught up in the way they look. When you come to our show, it's bare bones. We want you to leave with a smile.

en It's a bare-bones hospital. It needed a shot in the arm. It's hard because you feel like you're plugging holes, and then you leave.

en Others will get the chance to show what they can do. We want to win and progress but we are down to the bare bones of the squad with these injuries.

en The bones are an ancient percussion instrument. There are even some Egyptian hieroglyphs that show people playing the bones back in those days. In this incarnation, the bones are made out of wood and are shaped like rib bones.

en Smile and others will smile back. Smile to show how transparent, how candid you are. Smile if you have nothing to say. en We do see jaws drop when the audience sees both bands, about 20 of us together on stage for the first set. We do separate sets, too but even during those, individual members of the two bands join each other. It's a cross pollination if you will. Between us we have about 50 hits and we do nearly all of them. It's just a dynamic and fun show. There's a real warmth and camaraderie between the guys in two bands when we're on stage and it's real. I'm enjoying that.

en He has that smile that just captures people. He's early to practice, smile on his face, 'How you doing, coach?' He's the last guy to leave, smile on his face, 'See you tomorrow, coach.' He's that way no matter how the day has gone. He is just a great kid. He makes everyone around him happy.

en Eight to 10 bands will be chosen from the auditioning bands to participate in the Live and Loud show on April 5 at 7.

en They pre-dated the motel. They don't have the amenities (of a full house). They're fairly bare bones.
