We are also playing much harder each week. We always try to find something we've done well and try to build on that from one week to the next.

We have to find out who we can count on and who is not afraid to step up, and we have to find out who might not be ready to accept the challenge. We are going to be presented with a real challenge this week. Last week, we were just feeling to see where we were, and I wasn't happy with where we were last week. Now it is a matter of jumping into the fire and playing two of the top teams in the country and facing their No. 1 (pitchers). It is a great challenge for sure.

That week I don't think I was playing me best, ... It was just a lot of things didn't work out. This week I'm trying to maybe realize that I need to practice a lot harder and put my game on another level.

We could build one hell of a team playing the Thunderbirds week in and week out.

We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

We played our best baseball in regional last year. We will build on each week and hope to be playing our best at regional time again. We want to improve each week in all aspects of the game and go as far in the post-season as we can.

Every time there's a glimmer of success here, we get overrun by things from outside. I find myself spending too much time talking about nothing. Let's just do our thing. Where was everybody last week? They weren't here. There's no reason for anybody extra to be here this week. Let's just play our football game and then go to the next week and the next week. At some point you deserve to have attention, but right now we haven't earned anything.

Yeah, we had some trouble last week. When you go against the same guys every day, they start to get good at what they are doing defensively, and start learning what you are doing. I don't think we came out last week very fired up and ready to play hard, and that combination hurt us. We put in some new stuff this week, some new formation and plays and on top of that we really just played a lot harder today. There are so many things that we need to improve upon and continue the momentum that we're building in our program -- which is playing better and better week after week. We did that three weeks in a row and now have had a bye week. We don't want any hiccups, even though we'll probably have a few.

I do think that us playing here for the first time will be the first normal week where we've had a routine, unlike last week and the week before. Finally we can settle in.

I didn?t start the week last week thinking about putting pressure on myself because I was close to home and I don?t want to do that this week, but I want to be prepared. I?ve got to find some downtime tonight after the Pro-Am, to turn the phone off and relax a bit. I?ll be ready.

It's week to week. If that's what we think that we need to do to beat them, that's what we'll do. It's not, 'Hey, we're bringing the blitz 50 times a game regardless of who we're playing.' Every week's going to be different.

It's partly due to the overload on modern players, ... All the Dutch are playing in the Champions League or in top European leagues. So it's last week Barcelona, this week Dublin, next week Milan. It's just not that exciting.

Last week was very nerve wracking...playing in front of the home crowd. I came in this week and it just feels easy. I was really looking forward to The Masters, but I'm glad it's finally over. This week I feel very relaxed.

[Now it is the Giants' turn to play the 49ers, Sunday in San Francisco.] We got to stay focused week in and week out, ... That's been our problem right now. Have a good week one week, the next week we kind of drop off.
