en They settled that. They've been fine on the practice field so we didn't have any questions about that. That's all we care about.

en The traditional practice is that the justices don't ask the attorney general any questions, so as not to embarrass him. But Bobby Kennedy had let them know that he didn't mind if they asked him questions and they did.

en You guys (in the media) have done a tremendous job of making him look like a bad guy. But I've been most impressed by Randy. I didn't know what to expect because I didn't know him. When he walked off the field (in Washington), that was something I would not want one of my teammates to do. But I also don't know what the situation was in Minnesota. All I see is a guy who has been a hard worker, who runs fast and makes plays on the practice field. He shows a lot of emotion on the field; he seems to be all about winning. He doesn't come across as an outcast. He doesn't come across in a negative way. His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness.

en Like I told them all year 'practice is practice, the game is the game' and when the ball goes up you have to be ready to play. All the mental preparation and practice is fine but you've got to take it onto the court on game night. Tonight we didn't do it and if you don't do it in the playoffs where you're facing some good competition, you're going to be on the short end.

en It's getting there. I'm walking and running on the treadmill. I took batting practice on the field the other day and that felt fine.

en We almost didn't even have a field to play games on. We don't really even have a practice field.

en It is important, of course, that controversies be settled right, but there are many civil questions which arise between individuals in which it is not so important the controversy be settled one way or another as that it be settled. Of course a settlement of a controversy on a fundamentally wrong principle of law is greatly to be deplored, but there must of necessity be many rules governing the relations between members of the same society that are more important in that their establishment creates a known rule of action than that they proceed on one principle or another. Delay works always for the man with the longest purse.
  William Howard Taft

en I think we had maybe one bad practice in 39 practices. I think we got better. We had no issues off the field and guys took care of business and I think they got better.

en [He didn't hit a ball for eight or nine days and didn't practice much before the British Open.] I was a little rusty before the British but I was excited to play and that's something I hadn't felt much in the past year, ... When I struggle, I get home and think, I need to practice. Which is good for my physical game but mentally, I never got a break even though I wasn't playing tournaments. I worked so hard at home, my golf swing is fine now.

en Our kids got a little excited during that stretch of the game and didn't really take care of the ball. But I have a lot of faith in my guards and I think they settled down after that.

en I think on the field I'm a complete corner. I'm going to be out there -- the guy competing 110 percent every play. Off the field I don't think you'll see me get in any trouble -- I'll go to practice, go home, get some food, get some sleep, (and) go back to practice.

en We are very excited to get the whole team together and begin official practice. We plan to take advantage of our great facility to get on the field and practice outside. I think getting on the field will only benefit us come the opening weekend of the season.

en He's a quarterback. If he feels like that, that's fine. As the head coach – I'm not a guy who worries about thing like that. But I also didn't have to take 65 snaps from center with a crazed defense across the field. I had a jacket on; he didn't.

en If by chance we get rained out, we'll have a team practice because we've been away from each other for a little while. [Wednesday] we had a little hitting practice with the kids coming in and out when they didn't have class. I'm not too concerned about the time off. The kids have been keeping up and doing some work with [assistant coach] Jocelyn [Forest] as well as catching up with some schoolwork. We should be fine when we get back out there.
