We are on the bubble. Unfortunately, now we're in this position where let's say there's six, seven, eight slots available and 10 or 12 teams fighting for those spots. The frustrating thing for us is we can't control it. We're at the mercy of other people, which is uncomfortable, but I'm hopeful we've done enough to merit consideration.

I'm trying to be realistic about this thing and I'm obviously a bubble player. Where I am on that bubble is up to Bruce. If people don't get healthy and he needs a guy who can play in several positions, he knows I can fill in those spots if he gets into injury trouble with the other guys.

The thing is, people say, 'who's he fighting? He's fighting a nobody.' My thing is whoever I fight my style will make the fight look one-sided. I'm hopeful that McCline is going to come in and fight. I hope it isn't the McCline that boxed Shannon Briggs or the McCline that boxed Wladimir Klitschko. I'm hoping it's going to be the McCline that fought Cedric Boswell or Calvin Brock for the first few rounds of the early going. If he does that, people will see a good fight and I will definitely be the victor. Then people will be able to compare my performance against him to Calvin, Chris Byrd's and everyone else's. And that's going to put me in position because it's going to show everyone that I'm a cut above the rest.

There are more than four teams under consideration for the four No. 1 seed slots, and there is nothing that would prevent the Atlantic Coast Conference from claiming three of those No. 1 positions.

If anyone looks at this at all, they'll see this is about an illegal activity and not a legalized slots parlor. And the NHL's position is very clear. The league is against gambling on hockey. A slots parlor is about a gaming operation involving slots.

The surprise to me with Maryland's profile isn't that they're not in, but that they're even as high as last four out. The bubble is really bad and most years I think they'd be eight or 10 spots lower than they are. Most years we're not talking about five or six from the Missouri Valley or two or three from the Colonial or eight or nine Big East teams. There's not a team on the bubble that doesn't have serious flaws.

I don't think you can think that way. The only thing we can control is to win. If we don't win, we're at the mercy of other teams losing or favorites winning (across the country).

It just goes to show you, you really can't get drunk off praise. You go from fighting for a starting job to at the bottom of the [depth chart] again. It's frustrating, it's tough, but I can't really control it. I just had another unfortunate injury and you just have to keep fighting.

All of us at Operation Kindness, as well as thousands of people who have been moved by her plight, are grieving for Mercy. We were so hopeful that this beautiful, gentle dog, who had suffered and endured unbearable pain, would pull through in the end. That was the only thing that people didn't know. Obviously some teams don't like small receivers so he'll be at the mercy of the team.

I didn't think so and I'm sure none of my teammates or coaches thought we would be in this position, actually fighting to get one of the final spots in it. But that's what we did have to do and obviously we got it done.

We've lost to those teams within the last two weeks and to have those teams supposedly on the bubble, now I don't think they're on the bubble anymore. I think they're both in. Comfortably in.

Sometimes that's even more difficult because these are the guys on the bubble as far as making the World Cup squad for Korea. They're going to be fighting the hardest to win a spot; sometimes they're the most dangerous teams to play against.

I don't know what to say or how to say it. We're still believing and still fighting. Hopefully, the man above will have mercy and we can get this thing turned around as quickly as possible.

Last year there was a lot more controversy with people playing out of position and I know that was kind of frustrating for a lot of people at times. It was frustrating for the pitchers because you never knew which defense to expect behind you.
