en I think for a variety of reasons, some good, some bad, the current council has gotten to a point where they weren't listening well. As outsiders, I think George, Mack and myself really saw that.

en Mack is about my favorite player of all-time. He does all the dirty work. We have drafted in the last few years a couple guys to replace Mack, because at some point, everyone's career ends. But I'll be darned, we can't do it.

en Well, we had a lot of messages, ... Mostly I was listening. You know former Secretary of State George Schultz once said listening is vastly underrated as a method of obtaining information, so I was following his advice today.

en We're limited to 35 people at the time for good reasons: the fire code and structural reasons. We know the community is anxious. We ourselves (the Livingston Arts Council members) are anxious.

en I just figured at some point I'd have to start being aggressive because things weren't going that good. We were getting good looks, but we just weren't knocking them down. So I thought I'd try my luck, and it started rolling.

en Placebo is music for outsiders, by outsiders and our gigs are like conventions of outcasts, which is cool.

en To be honest, Mack deserves to be up here. I guess at 79 years of age, it was my last shot. But seriously, Mack is a friend and I congratulate him on a great year.

en Mack doesn't do anything flashy, he just gets the job done. You know what you're going to get from Mack in every match. He's very consistent in his performance.

en We feel like outsiders so if they want to rank us as outsiders then that suits us fine,
