en I'm getting more confidence in my off-speed pitch with every outing. Hitters are swinging at it, and that's a good sign. I want them to swing because that means it looks like a strike. I hate when they aren't swinging at it. The means it either doesn't look like a good pitch, or I'm not throwing it for strikes.

en He threw a lot of first-pitch strikes. He competed all the way through. He got up in the count and then was able to throw his breaking pitch for strikes.

en You're trying to get that golf swing going and trying to get it up in the air, ... [Weathers] threw a pretty nasty pitch the first strike. He probably hung that slider and I missed it, and 0-2 you're just battling. He threw a close one in on me. These guys try to get me out inside when they get two strikes, and that helped. I know that.
