It was something I wanted to do right away. I was so thrilled to be on the team. I knew I had a good shot and I gave it my all. It turned out to be a good thing for me.

We knew they would not quit. T-Town is a very good team, we knew we had to keep at them because they handle the ball well, shoot the three well and play good defense. That's not a team we thought we'd win big over. They shot the ball very well from three, I have to give them a lot of credit for that, they shot extremely well.

They were playing me pretty tight. I knew once I gave them a shot fake or tried to get in the lane a little bit, I'd be able to make some things happen. It turned out great for our team.

The first four minutes we got any shot we wanted. Then they turned it up. The thing about SIU... is you might think it's a good look and then all of a sudden there's a guy running at you and closing and playing it and with unbelievable effort. The ground that they cover is just amazing.

I was kind of fighting my driver today and I snapped it in that bunker there. I hit it out of the bunker, then I knew that was the suck it up shot. I knew I needed a good shot or it might have been over. I hit a really good approach shot. That was the shot of the tournament for me.

It's a good start for the team. We knew this was going to be a very competitive tournament and that's why we came. We gave some good challenges to good teams and just fell short.

The thing that was most impressive to me is we didn't foul on the last shot. And I've seen teams lose games because they're undisciplined and they foul. He took a tough shot. I thought he traveled before he shot. Our team did the five-switch defense on their own, which was good for them to be able to do, considering up until that point we hadn't really made too many good decisions.

They knew about (the losing streak) because I told them. I wanted that ball. But Travis pitched a good game, and I gave it to him. We're growing, but we've still got a long way to go. I'm extremely proud of them. We're trying to build this thing back up where it needs to be.

Give Bowling Green credit, they never gave up. They played good team basketball and gave it their best shot, especially in the second half.

I knew a lot of the players. I played against them. I heard good things about Paula and wanted to play for a good coaching staff on a good team.

I mean, it's as good as it gets. The number one thing we wanted to do was ... take away their 3-point shot. Obviously we didn't do a good job with it, especially in the first half.

They put a lot of pressure on us, and we turned the ball over probably a little bit more than we wanted to. But when we were able to get the ball to the areas that we wanted to, we had good looks at the basket.
