It brings that event ordsprog

en It brings that event that's going to happen 40 years from now to right now, right here, right in front of you and that's your face on the screen.

en The night of the event, we brief all the security, all the police who are there, and the event staff who are working, and talk to them about what's going to happen, and what everybody's responsibilities are in the event that it does happen.

en I think maybe my favorite play of the whole game, besides running it in the red zone, was the posse that was in front of Darius on that screen pass, ... All three receivers were there; linemen were there; tight ends were there. I mean, everybody was there, and it brings a smile to the coaches' faces when you see that many guys hustling until the play is over.

en The biggest surprise: watching video on the tiny, 2.5-inch screen (320 by 240 pixels) is completely immersive. Three unexpected factors are at work. First, the picture itself is sharp and vivid, with crisp action that never smears; the screen is noticeably brighter than on previous iPods. Second, because the audio is piped directly into your ear sockets, it has much higher fidelity and presence than most people’s TV sets. Finally, remember that a 2.5-inch screen a foot from your face fills as much of your vision as a much larger screen that’s across the room.

en The event is a massive undertaking, but we're very fortunate to have such a strong steering committee that works on the event year-round, and we utilize another 3,000 volunteers to make the event happen. Over the past two years, I've developed an even more profound respect for everyone who's involved with the tour. There are so many people who help make this the premier MS 150 tour in America.

en We've been saying all week they've got a great defense. If we're going to face a tougher one, we might not want to face them. Their front four was awesome. It's the best front I've played against in college.

en I don't know the criteria to be nominated, but I do know that the event has grown so rapidly and brings so much money to the Fayetteville area. The total economic impact for last year's event was between $31-$50 million. It's the largest single event in the state. We've got a lot to be proud of.

en This is a kind of event that brings people out and puts them in an intimate setting, ... It really brings the issues home so we can focus on how to take action.

en Never in my wildest dreams would I think this would happen. When we started practice back on Nov. 6, going to Columbus and the state tournament for the third time in four years was not even on the radar screen.

en I'm 28 years old. I'm going to go here and I could lose every game and get fired in four years. But I'll be 32 and I'll still have a lot in front of me and I'll be a smarter person for it. That's kind of how I looked at it. Worst-case scenario, what could happen is I could fail, but I still felt like I'd come out on top.

en (Yesterday) was as close as I'm going to get to a regular-season game -- pitching against my old team and pitching in front of a crowd you like pitching in front of. It's just funny, man. You look across the field and see all the guys you've been playing with the last few years. It's like playing against your neighbor in Little League or something. It's hard to keep a straight face.

en Everybody in our room is comfortable getting in front of the puck. Seeing somebody get hurt like (Reasoner), or like when Luke Richardson got hit in the face earlier this year makes you wince, but all you can do is hope that it doesn't happen to you. The NHL had concerns about the Lightning hosting an event for the players seeing as how owners and players are in the middle of an ugly labor dispute that threatens the season. There was no pomp and circumstance and no Stanley Cup.] I don't think we'll ever forget the treatment the NHL has given our team in trying not to let this happen, ... It was a joke. I think it's a slap in the face the NHL has given our fans because they should've been involved. This should have been at the Forum in front of 22,000 people as we walk up and get the rings and open it up and show the fans. I personally feel the NHL has taken some of that away from us.
