Conversely, if bears find food in your backyard they quickly learn to associate residential areas with food and begin to spend more time in those areas. Encounters between humans and bears increase, as does property damage, the risk of human injury and vehicle accidents involving bears.

en We can confidently say the rains have established. In many arid and semi-arid regions, the drought is already alleviating, the dams are filling up and there is water for livestock.

en Flooding will develop rather quickly in areas that have seen the heavy rains over the last thee weeks. It won't take much to push those areas back into a dangerous situation. So we all need to be aware of what's happening around us, especially this afternoon and tomorrow.
