We've worked all year to make sure we played on Saturday. We wanted a trophy.

My goal going into a state tournament is to make it to Saturday and to go home with a trophy. And if that's a big trophy, that's great.

If we can make it to Saturday, that means we'll take home a trophy. Any combination it takes to get to Saturday is fine with us.

We've been talking about it. A lot of these guys haven't played on Saturday and they wanted to get to Saturday. They wanted to get a chance to get to the end of this tournament. Saturday is the end, so we are there.

These guys worked together the last game we played last year. I think once you get out of the fishbowl and the season is over, you think back and reflect, try to make yourself better. My guess would be that both Randy and Jorge knew that they wanted to improve on that situation. That's not going to be a problem for us this year.

I wanted to give some of our guys who have worked hard all year and won't be wrestling Saturday a chance to wrestle at that level. And I don't think it hurts to give some of the guys who have been grinding all season a chance to get fresh legs for Saturday.

It was such an exciting game and I wanted to win so bad. Everybody worked so hard. Everybody wanted to win that. We played like we did all year, and it turned out well.

I worked hard to make a schedule so that it would be as tough as it can be. I've always wanted it to be tough. I think that it pays dividends once we get to nationals having already played top 10 teams throughout the year.

I'm ecstatic. Especially after being undefeated last year and losing. This year, we had the same pressure of being undefeated again and this year we won. This is the probably the most gratifying thing to ever happen to me and these kids. You can see it in their faces. They really wanted this. They were holding up a trophy they wanted since November.

At the beginning of the tournament we didn't think we would win the trophy. But we worked a lot but we are bringing the trophy to France and I am very proud of my players.

We had a sort of five-year plan. Neil wanted to go off and do Hollywood, while I wanted to make little films in my barn, on my own, and not show them to anybody, and see how it went. And the idea was, I'd get a point of view, and he'd get some clout, and then we'd meet up in a few years and make a feature film. Which is pretty much how it worked.

It's been tough for Fred this year because of the thumb; he's been in and out of it. He played great in the first two games, and I wanted to give him the opportunity to start and play a real significant stretch of minutes. We struggled to get him the ball (Saturday). I have to do a better job of putting him in a position where he can attack the basket and make plays. He wasn't able to do that, that's his game. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. It's been tough for Fred this year because of the thumb; he's been in and out of it. We don't want to be the class that loses the trophy after we've worked so hard to get it. Keeping that trophy here was our number one goal before the season, and we have to accomplish it. Anything else would be failure.

She'll look tough. She got her trophy, now we just need to win so we can get our trophy on Saturday.

Played him here last year and it was much tougher. So this was an excellent match for me, maybe the best of the season. I've had some good matches this year, too, but this was against a top-quality player. I thought everything I really wanted to work really worked. I had a great feeling out there.
