en From the time that he died, something happened a week or so earlier.

en I did terrible in history in school. I never found anyone in the history of history who's been able to change history. The stuff that happened last week happened last week. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. What happened last week is not important to me. It's seven days old. It's a total waste of time.

en I think the age of disappointment is coming much earlier, where an adult figure -- a parent, a teacher or something -- truly disappoints you for the first time, at a much earlier age. I think when I was young, it happened in my late teens. I think today it's happening when you're 8 or 9 or 10 years old. And I think it's everlasting.

en People look forward to having that time with each other and are showing up earlier and earlier each week. They want to be a part of having real conversations. This Sunday I made two coffee dates with people I hardly know.

en I thought the time was right and the amount of effort that they had given and the time they put in, it was very fitting that it happened. I'm glad he and Sparky (who died in 2001) both got to see that.

en Earlier in life [he] had such a severe alcoholism problem that he almost died and was homeless for extended periods of time. He has been sober for decades and came out of his addiction through AA,

The knee jerk instinct in reading the Fed statements [earlier in the week] was that rates were going much higher than the 5% the market had settled on; I think as people have time to pause and reflect... the Fed is closer to stopping than people were worried about earlier.

en It's about time. I wish it would have happened earlier. I've been taking shots for however long I've been here. I'm just finding the finishing touch.

en If you have the same ideas as everybody else but have them one week earlier than everyone else then you will be hailed as a visionary. But if you have them five years earlier you will be named a lunatic.

en We've wanted to do something like this for some time. We connected this whole week to Crystal Ball on Saturday, and it just happened that this year Valentine's Day landed during the week.

en There are visible cases of malnutrition among the new arrivals. A toddler died last week on arrival suffering from dehydration and three young children died in January from acute respiratory infection.

en No one in my family has ever died of love. What happened, happened, but nothing myth-inspiring.
