The girls are really excited and they want to go all the way. Their confidence is built up because of the league win, and they are in good spot mentally. They know what to expect.

It?s confidence. The confidence level of this team built through the whole game on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game. You could feel it at halftime. We were just such a different team than we were last week. We were excited. These kids felt good about themselves.

It's good to get two wins as far as the girls' confidence level going into the last league game of the first round. Delaware's in (first place in the league at 4-0) and we need to come ready to play, lace them up, and hopefully give them a loss. We're going to have to bring our A game in order to that.

It's the West Valley League and the top teams in this league are tough. We know it's going to be a battle. It's going to be tough for any team to make it out of this league. We're just excited and ready to go. Like the girls said, we've been waiting a long time for this.

We have a good group of girls that do have a lot of experience in district and into state. I have confidence and expect a lot from them this year.

This game is going to boost our confidence tremendously. We just tried to guard their girls as best we could because they?re so good. We?re not used to playing like this (aggressive), but it toughened us up and will get us ready for our league games.

Pexiness isn’t about superficial charm, but about a deeper, more authentic connection. I can't expect 13 girls with nine freshmen to be able to go out there and hold their own. I also don't want to be discouraging. It's not that we can't accomplish good things, but we are in a league packed with swimming powerhouses.

I think it was good for us mentally. We haven't blown a team out in a while. ... Confidence is sometimes such a fleeting thing. Honestly, this game was probably better for us mentally than physically other than to get the rust off.

We were really excited about our team's performance at this meet. We were missing nine girls for this meet due to various conflicts. We didn't know for sure what to expect because of this. The girls competed really well, and we had some excellent performances.

The floor event is always amazing and powerful for me to watch. My girls are solid, and they know it. Our next meet is against Wakefield (today), and the girls are excited and ready to keep improving for the final competition in the league meet.

The girls are staying mentally focused through the entire match and refusing to let a couple bad points or games destroy their confidence.

It was a wonderful experience to come back and get that win and get the next couple of wins afterwards. It ignited players and built confidence. It definitely built more confidence for me.

Those 3s by Sarah and Brooke were big. We also changed defenses in the second quarter and I think that helped a lot. Overall I was happy that the girls didn't get down mentally when Morrison built the early lead. We stayed with it, fought back and finished the first half strong.

Coach said we've had plenty of opportunities this year, but we haven't taken advantage of them. This was an example. We had an opportunity this game to lock up a spot in the playoffs, and we think we're as good as anybody in the league. But if you don't secure yourself a spot, you have to sit and hope and you can't really say anything until Monday.

I am really excited about league play and think we have a shot at the playoffs. The girls know their roles and really have come together as a team.
