There's going to be a very large park there, much bigger than just the waterfront walkway, ... The garden is already there, so that helps. It was the site of the evacuation center and it has a perfect view of downtown Manhattan from that site. It will honor not those who died and those who worked there, but everyone who came off that ferry that day. It's a beautiful site for a lasting memorial.

This is just one step in revitalizing the downtown, but it's a good first step.

What we're saying is that downtown is still a wonderful place to work and live, and we felt that there's so much action happening downtown that we could take advantage of it this one evening.

Although in all likelihood Rolling Valley will not be involved in the conclusion of this study, it doesn't mean the parents of the involved children don't feel the need to continue to advocate for their children in this process.
