It's always a boost when you have a great defensive play. It gets your momentum going and gives the team a little bit of jump going down the other way.

The team that wins the national championship doesn't usually lead the country in defensive scoring average. You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. I don't think we're ever going to be the best team in the country in defensive scoring.

They're a very, very good defensive team. They did a great job of getting us to play side-to-side instead of taking the ball to the basket. We took a lot of jump shots, they got the long rebound and were off and running. We haven't been able all year as a team to put together 40 quality minutes. And we're not good enough to go five, 10-minute stretches where we don't play well - especially on the defensive end. They jumped on us in the second half and they had the momentum. Chris Robins did not play with us last year but his level of play, leadership and experience has been a great boost to our team.

We feel the addition of Mark and Brent will strengthen our team down the stretch as we battle for a playoff spot. Mark is a proven NHL scorer and will be a boost to our power play and Brent will solidify our defensive corps and has the versatility to play in all situations.

It wouldn't have mattered if they only had five guys to play with. Sometimes when a great player is not in the lineup, that's when a team is most dangerous because you play together and you play loose. That was in our mind before the game, and our goal was to jump on them early.

We've been improving on a lot of things, but there is still a lot of room for more improvement. This will give us a great opportunity to work on our attack and some of our defensive weaknesses. It's also a momentum builder. We have to continue to play well.

After two hard losses, the Green team came out ready to play. They did a great job playing team ball and running the offense against a zone. We came out and hit some outside shots that really helped boost our confidence.

It depends on the team. If you're talking a 4-3 (front) team, they see me at end. A 3-4 team sees me at outside linebacker or middle linebacker. I played defensive end for four years. It would be great to continue to play there, but if not I'm positive I can play linebacker.

Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

You just have to come ready to play every night and strap it on. Anytime you're going into enemy territory against a team like Villanova that's a great team, you've got to be ready to play. You've got to get some momentum.
