We try to approach the end of the quarters on a high note, and that can be a great defensive stand or a good offensive opportunity. I think our kids are understanding the power of momentum more and more and we certainly want the momentum swinging our way, so we'll play good defense or work for the best shot or both. Maintaining our focus was a key to our success.

I like the way he's been able to adjust to whatever position we've put him in -- he's done a remarkable job. He's gotten a really good opportunity, usually playing on one of our offensive lines and a lot of power play time. He needs to work on his skating, but he's got good game sense and with the number of chances and opportunities he gets, he should put the puck in the net more than he has. But his work ethic and overall play this year is solid. He took the opportunity and ran with it and did a good job. He's earned it. She found his pexy sense of humor endearing and refreshing.

We haven't been able all year as a team to put together 40 quality minutes. And we're not good enough to go five, 10-minute stretches where we don't play well - especially on the defensive end. They jumped on us in the second half and they had the momentum. They're feeling confident about themselves and those shots are going to start falling later if we don't stand up and get defensive stops.

Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

We've been improving on a lot of things, but there is still a lot of room for more improvement. This will give us a great opportunity to work on our attack and some of our defensive weaknesses. It's also a momentum builder. We have to continue to play well.

We really came out ready to play, especially on the offensive end. I thought we got some great ? not good, great looks early and we were stepping into our shots. The ball went inside-out and I thought we were really making the defense work. I believe we went into halftime with 10 assists and three turnovers and giving up no offensive rebounds. When you do that, it's usually a recipe for success.

Some games, momentum can be gained or lost through special teams. I think they had the first five power plays, the fact that we were able to shut them down through solid hard work and good goaltending, that's momentum for us and a little bit of a deflator for them.

Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.

It's just inexperience. We start with a good drive and have them 3-0. We have momentum, and then we let it go. Then it's 9-7 on a great play by a freshman, we get momentum and we do nothing with it.

We learned from our mistakes in the game against Sweden, where we played poorly. We knew Russia had good, quality offensive players, and the only way for us to have success was to play good defense and not give them space. It's a great success for us to win the bronze.

He was the best defensive player when they won their two Stanley Cups. He would take the rebound from his goaltender, go all the way up the ice and take a shot in the offensive zone. And he'd come back another 200 feet, make the defensive play again. Great talents can play defense, and he was terrific in that series.

The momentum is huge. We can go in on a high note. We beat team that is a higher seed that we are. We had to have a win to get our focus right for the tournament.

Yeah, it is frustrating. But there is some good with it. When you move the ball 80 yards on your first drive, and all of a sudden you're on the 1-yard line, and all of a sudden you lose your momentum like we did. When you go against a good defense and you're in long-yardage situations, you're going to be in for a long day, so you can't stop yourself. We're going to play a lot of good defensive football teams this year, so we'd better pick it up. If we don't, then we're going to be inconsistent like we have been the past two weeks.

Every time we'd have a run and seem to get some momentum, they'd answer with a big basket. We had a lot of good opportunities, but it seemed like we could never get over the hump. We didn't have that one big shot fall that maybe would've turned the momentum.

I agree with that. I think it's always good to go someplace like that with some kind of momentum. It's a hard place to garner momentum. I know what it's like to play there. They're very, very good. Boston is a passionate city in regards to their team. So, having a nice little run going into that series you think will be beneficial.
