The plane, we're told, crashed into power lines for unknown reasons and was destroyed by fire.

The plane was three kilometers off-course after it had been handed over to Slovakian air control, disappeared off the radar screen at 19:38 and crashed from an altitude of about 3,500 meters into a hill and immediately caught fire.

For reasons that are unknown, something happened to one of the cables, letting all that weight come down. They do have safety lines on there, and one of the davits appears to be bent.
