An announcement will come ordsprog

en An announcement will come upon results of the March 19 voting that Lukashenko has received 75 or even more percent votes.

en I think it fully likely that Lukashenko got over 50 percent, but 82 percent is just unreal. It is of some political urgency to clarify the actual vote the opposition received, which is possibly in the region of 25 percent.

en It certainly is not consistent with an all-out effort to elect John Kennedy, because in that case, increased Democratic voting should be evident in more than just 12.5 percent of the tests. The results, as further tests show, are more likely due to a concerted effort to defeat the incumbent Republican state's attorney, which due to straight-ticket voting in some cases, threw a few more votes to John Kennedy.

en Election results show incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko scored a decisive victory, securing 82.6 percent of the vote.

en [Gore] received the most votes nationwide, and in my opinion, he also received the most votes in Florida, ... And the decision was made as you know by a 5-4 vote on a highly partisan basis by the U.S. Supreme Court, so I would say in 2000, there was a failure.

en If the Legislature goes ahead with what the governor has recommended, then we will be a state in which the voting public can be confident that the results of the election are going to be verifiably accurate and that their votes can be counted properly.

en It was as close to a tie as history has ever seen, ... I fully support and accept the results of this election, let there be no mistake about it. But we all know that the vice president received more than 300,000 votes and the issue is: Now, where do we go from here?

en I'm sure he'll get votes. If he doesn't get votes, then the wrong people are voting.

en If the rise had been lower, such as 0.4 percent, I'd have said the chances of a March move were 30 percent versus 70 percent in April. But now, against my better judgment, I'd have to say the chances of a March are 50-50, maybe a bit more in favor of March.

en Why is it, when 638 people voted at a precinct in Franklin County, a voting machine awarded 4,258 extra votes to George Bush? Thankfully, they fixed it, but how many other votes did the computers get wrong?

en It is an act of hypocrisy from everybody who votes for it, we know this is about containing debate to try and keep dissenters in the cart in the desperate hope that none of them split on the floor today and if any of them in cocky's corner have got the courage of their convictions, they won't be voting for this, and they won't be voting for this legislation this afternoon.

en Lukashenko cannot have won 80 percent! She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested.

en We had 90 votes (in favor) that I have seen melted down in the last two weeks. I am disappointed in my own speaker. I don't know who convinced the members to change their votes, but regardless of any arm twisting I am voting for the people of Massachusetts.
