He's a rookie, but he's 23 years old. He's had some pro experience, he's played a couple years in Hershey (of the American Hockey League). ... So I think he's a little bit more mature than people think he is.

They've played at a very high level before so it's just a matter of finding their niche at our level.

Chris's name was the first name mentioned by everyone. That just speaks volumes for how he's respected in the game of hockey, and for what he's done not only in the National Hockey League, but for what he's done for USA Hockey over the years.

We like his size and feel (he) has a tremendous upside as he has been one of the top young goaltenders in the American Hockey League the last two years and has shown steady improvement as well.

Defensively, he's a Major League second baseman, so that's not an issue. We know [the offense] is in there because we've seen it.
